<pre>Description

Manufacturing Faction: Pirates

Role Summary: Salvage and Piracy (Transport and Fighter)

Combat Behavior: Quick reverse, tractor capabilities, and the ability to hold ships in its bay

Known Major Variants: Crayfish

Role Summary (Salvage): Seizing spaceborn objects and transorting them

Combat Behavior (Piracy): Used to target, disable, and tractor small craft found in its space

visual field. Lacks appropriate fixed weaponry for heavy engagements, and appropriate

ordinance for assault duties.

Tenure of Service: Recent

Utilization: Merchant's Guild, and Pirates.

Role Details (Standard):

Salvaging is its primary role.  Why attack vessels when you can merely take goods found at

battle sites?

Role Details (Piracy):

This ship is capable of taking small ships, whole, into its bay.  It can only tractor one at

a time and thus is vulnerable to attack from multiple ships.  It was retofitted with EMP

weapons in order to disable crafts before they are seized.

Comments:

The Crayfish is notably weak, being incapable of housing other weapons in its turrets.  INTEL

has heard rumers of another larger vessel known as the Lobter that is capable of much more.  One

witness stated that the prototype has the capability of tractoring cargo out of a moving ship and

possibly housing more weapons in its turrets.  This witness also stated that the

second prototype was supposed to have electronic transmitters capable of starting the crew's

ejection sequence.<pre>

----

<pre>  The Crayfish should have two turrets, starboard and

portside.  These will need to be armed with an instant lock

capable tractor beam that is also capable of wide sweeps.

The turrets should resemble pincers on a thorax.  The thorax

would be the hold/storage bay.  The tail of the Crayfish would

be a scoop for redirecting propulsion.

Skin would be a dark green fading into rusty patches around

seams.

----

<pre> The Crayfish is a lightly armed salvage vessel. Its only weapons are

pincers(wide swath (and large depth of field))tractor beams that are used to

stow floatsome (and nearby enemy ships) in its cavernous hold) and the EMP

it produces to propel itself backward.

The Crayfish must use fuel to produce the backflicking reflex that is used

to dissable enemy vessels while dodging their fire.<pre>
