The Rlaan, masters of genetic manipulation, have created a highly addictive drug that has no initial negative side effects. After approximately two months of medium use of Aeres Bane, an Aera's neural pathways will start to rapidly break down, leaving them a vegetable. The Aera Ascendancy has banned this drug outright, but there is still a demand for it among the Aera population.
