Role Details:	Not ostentatiously designed - elegant, but functional in impementation - development of these vessels began as soon as the Aera encountered evidence of technologically advanced extant civilizations, and the age of the design is often apparent. While it's capable of servicing and berthing a wide range of Aeran interceptors, fighters, assault craft, support vessels, and corvettes, the two key reasons for the continued use of this class of vessels are the transport of vast quantities of materiel (use as 'self-contained' supply train/mobile base) and carrier functionality for specialized in-system attack craft. While, as mentioned, it can service and berth all of the Aeran small craft, the interstellar capable vessels utilize the Agesipolis more as a mobile supply and service depot than as a carrier, especially during non-jump interstellar flight actions. Admittedly, given the strong Aeran dependence upon corvette type vessels for offensive operations, having a support vessel capable of servicing several corvettes simultaneously is a great boon.
Combat Behavior:	Much more akin to the mobile base concept than the more prevalent escort carriers and flight tenders in use by most other groups, this behemoth, despite its size, avoids direct engagement, preferring to keep maximum distance between itself and enemy forces. The vessel mounts a large number of weapon emplacements, but none particularly large, and the majority of mounts are defensively oriented. As the offensive value of this craft is mostly a function of the craft ferried and cared for, the offensive weaponry of the vessels has not been a priority for overhaul.
