Role Details
Role Summary: Assault (Fighter)

Role Details: An assault craft without warheads, a Convolution's pilot needs to make several strafing runs with a slow firing weapon in order to match a single torpedo attack. However, the eventual damage output, if the Convolution can maintain its attacks, surpasses most warhead loadouts from craft of similar size. Additionally, when engaging smaller craft, such as Aeran corvettes, torpedoes are not always the most efficient means of engagement. The Convolution is much closer in form to fighter-craft than to bomber designs, but, if capable of engaging enemy small craft, is not designed with that purpose at fore.

Combat Behavior: The Convolution is primarily employed against sub-capital vessels. The Convolution class has a single, large energy weapon operating at a fixed angle off of forward thrust designed with strafing runs in mind. Additional smaller weapons are more traditionally spinal mounted.
