:I think that synthesized speech would be OK in some instances. Some of the Realspeak voices are really pretty good, and it would fit the futuristic style of the game pretty well. We definitely should not rely *solely* upon synthesized speech, and should probably limit the number of voices to one. [[User:Shark|Shark]] 01:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

VS Racing possibility

  • "By the way, it would be really cool if VS could include competition racing as a mission type, like a long patrol mission that you have to finish before other AIs who spawn from the same starting point as soon as you launch. Can the mission engine do that?" -Turbo
    • I think it could be possible up to a extent. For instance, a mission file could definitely be used to set the navpoints for the player, it definitely could spawn ships adjacent to the player. What I don't know is if it could be possible to set the AI ships to follow the navpoints and preprogram the mission to make it so if an AI has gone through all the checkpoints and make it through the last one of the points, the AI is considered the winner. The racing system for the player could easily be almost the same as a patrol mission, except I think it could only be insystem, because of the AI.--Mc707 00:57, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
