| Role Details: | The Derivative has a high thrust to mass ratio, but acceleration is primarily linear. The Derivative relies on high acceleration and missile loadout for latency reduction, and its single high damage energy weapon for sustained intercept tasks. |
| Combat Behavior: | The Derivative is designed only for intercepting assault craft. Though reasonably maneuverable and with high linear acceleration, its weaponry is not designed for superiority in fighter engagements. |
