You meet Kroiz while working for Lynch in Privateer 1.
Lynch says that Kroiz works for a competitor.
Kroiz tries to stop you from delivering weapons to Siva, Rikel; so you kill him.
End of story? No, we need him...

Okay, first of all, which Lynch competitor does he work for?

We know of 3 or 4 Lynch competitors:
* The Merchants Guild (vs. Lynch Shipping)
* A metal ore tycoon around Hyades (vs. Lynch Mining)
* Damien Lang and Rondell (vs. Lynch-controlled Bronte Food Corp.)
* Menesch (vs. Lynch's illegal arms and ships trading)

The fact that Kroiz tries to stop you from delivering weapons would seem to suggest he's
working for Menesch. Kroiz is definitely the commander of his wing of goons, and calls
himself "Privateer Extraordinaire". He's also educated and well spoken. All ingredients
to his becoming or being Menesch's right-hand man. Naturally, he'd take over Menesch's
when the latter gets killed by Burrows.

Except that Kroiz was already killed, but we can make him survive by his using a brand
new "stealth ejection capsule".

For Kroiz to become Burrows' nemesis, we need him to be a bit more intelligent than his
predecessor. Kroiz would see the wisdom to be on the better side of corrupt Confeds and
the Belisarius Group. Not that he would cut the kats off at once, but the least he could
do would be to push Lynch out and take over what remains of his Confed Decommisioning
biz. He'd probably promise those Confeds to increase his purchases gradually and to
reduce his sales to retros while increasing sales to pirates "over time". Whether this
is good enough for the Confed suppliers is not much of an issue after pushing Lynch out
of the New Det, New Cons, New Castle and his routes to Rikel and Oakham. The war with
Lynch was already raging before Menesch's death. Lynch's offering a bounty on Menesch
and his leaving New Cons, as well as Tayla's leaving Oakham attest to it; as do the
blockades of New Det and Liverpool. All he has to do is offer the Decomissioning crooks
a deal --any deal at all-- and they have no choice, now, but to sign on.
