The Spaceborn make up a miniscule fraction of the total Protectorate population, but are heavily involved in many of the Protectorate's free-space construction and maintenance projects.
History
The Spaceborn were genetically engineered in secret by the Lightbearers as a servant race, to perform undesirable zero-g tasks for their suprahuman "superiors". During the Fraternal War between the Andolians and Lightbearers, the Spaceborn were discovered and liberated, and sided with the Protectorate as a result.
